A taonga to treasure
I get so many compliments on my Toi Mak kakahu and am always asked where I get them. I wear my Toitū te Tiriti kupu with pride as an ally. They are so well made and are a taonga I treasure! They also make great gifts for loved ones.

The wahine toa within me who never gives up
Es ist immer noch Winter hier in Österreich und noch etwas zu kalt für die Jacke aber ich kanns kaum erwarten sie bald wieder zu tragen. Sie erinnert mich täglich an meine innere Stärke und die Kriegerin in mir, die NIEMALS aufgibt. Danke an meine liebe Schwägerin für dieses tolle Geschenk.
It is still winter here in Austria and a little bit too cold but I can‘t wait to wear the jacket again soon. She is a daily reminder of my inner strength and the wahine toa within me, who NEVER gives up. Thanks to my beautiful sister in law for that amazing gift.

Maunga Whiria
Every year, I walk my maunga Whiria and this year for my 85th birthday, I walked up again, but this time it was special as I got to wear my personalised kākahu of my maunga.

A beautiful way to wear my culture
I love wearing my jacket and always get so many comments about the whakaahua. The tapestry-woven picture makes it truly unique, and I enjoy that it carries a story you can wear. It feels especially meaningful to put on for Kaupapa Māori where the design, reo and artistry all feel right at home.

Ka mau te wehi!
I love my jacket from TOI MAK. I like being able to express my Māori culture by wearing it and to honour Te Tiriti and He Whakaputanga. It's very special to me, and I'm sure it is to others as well when they receive theirs. Having a company that makes these kinds of things for you to wear is awesome... thanks Nana!

Isn't it stunning...
I was thrilled to see TOI MAK at Waitangai this year. They had an incredible selection of kupu Māori, beautiful kākahu and these stunning urunga (cushions). It was a must-buy for me! I am so happy with my purchase which is now displayed in my whare... too precious to use!

Have had many positive comments of the uniqueness of how the pictures of my moko turned out. I love wearing my personalised kākahu with pride! I added the kupu myself. It was an easy process to order and sew it on my denim jacket - not hard at all for a non-sewer. Ataahua!
